About the Role: We are seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to support Kiwa's Australian and New Zealand operations. This hands-on role offers a diverse mix of legal work, combining governance oversight with practical, business-focused advice that enables our leaders and teams to make confident decisions.
This is a 12-month contract with potential to transition to permanent employment, with a flexible start date available.
Your primary focus will be contract review, supporting upcoming projects across ANZ. You will also gain exposure to property and leasing matters, insurance queries, and general legal support. The role involves partnering with managers, executives, and vendors locally and internationally, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact across the business.
You'll be part of a small, friendly, and collaborative local team, with the backing of a respected global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners (primary focus).
- Oversee property leases and related agreements.
- Provide guidance on insurance queries.
- Deliver clear, practical legal advice on a range of matters.
- Collaborate with managers and executives to balance opportunity with risk.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Law with 3–6 years' post-admission experience (more experienced candidates also encouraged to apply).
- Background in commercial law, with strong skills in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Exposure to property, leasing, and insurance matters is highly regarded.
- Experience from either private practice or in-house environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, practical advice.
- Collaborative approach and confidence working across time zones in a global business.
