What is the role?

As the Venue Manager, you will be the driving force behind our Charlotte Street venue's success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Leading and supporting the Head Barista, Head Chef and other staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.

  • Managing Costs of Goods Sold (COGS) and Costs of Employment (COE) to optimise profitability.

  • Conducting monthly Profit and Loss reviews to identify areas for improvement and meet financial goals.

  • Exemplifying outstanding customer service, setting the standard for your team, and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.

  • Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.

  • Training and mentoring staff to maintain high performance standards.

  • Coordinating with relevant stakeholders to promote the venue and increase patronage.

Who are we looking for?

As well as having an energetic and warm personality, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry is essential.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.

  • Excellent understanding of financial management, including P&L, COGS, and COE.

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to providing an elevated dining experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.

  • Barista experience and strong knowledge of coffee.

  • Unrestricted availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays where necessary.

  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate & Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
