Turf maintenance trainee

Full Time | Entry-Level Role| Based in Lonsdale, SA

About the Role

Kickstart your career in the turf industry with Belair Turf As a Turf Maintenance Trainee, you'll work alongside experienced professionals maintaining high-quality turf across golf courses, sports ovals, council reserves, and landscaped spaces. You'll gain hands-on experience and provided the opportunity to complete a nationally recognized qualification in turf management or irrigation technology.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist in the maintenance of turf areas including mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, and irrigation.
• Learn to identify turf pests, diseases, and weeds, and assist with control methods.
• Operate and maintain machinery such as ride-on mowers, tractors, whipper snippers ETC
• Support topdressing, turf renovations, and turf installation projects
• Help monitor turf health and moisture levels
• Work safely in outdoor environments and follow WHS practices

What We're Looking For

• Genuine interest in turf maintenance and/or sports grounds
• Willingness to learn and commit to formal training
• Good level of physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Driver's license (or in the process of obtaining) is preferred
