About the role

APX Civil Pty Ltd has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Machine Operator to join our team on a casual basis in Coomera, Queensland. As a key member of our construction crew, you will operate a range of civil machinery to support the successful delivery of our projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely and competently operate a range of civil construction equipment such as Excavators, Bobcats, Posi Tracks, with the versatility to jump in a truck when needed.
  • Perform general maintenance and pre-start checks on plant and equipment.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and use software application as part of your role and responsibilities.
  • Assist with general site works and labouring duties as required
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures and safety standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Civil Machine Operator in the construction industry
  • GPS experience is essential.
  • HR truck licence is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Formal qualifications in civil plant operations and/or heavy vehicle licences (licences/tickets and experience in Excavators, Bobcats and Posi-tracks).
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and a proactive approach to workplace health and safety
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider construction crew
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work environments
