Seppeltsfield was established in 1851 in the Barossa Valley by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt, just 15 years after the European settlement of South Australia. We are looking for a permanent full time Cellar Door Team Leader to join our award winning team.

About the Position

The Cellar Door Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Cellar Door. This role includes managing daily bookings, supervising and training staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

The Team Leader engages with all visitors and Seppeltsfield members, conducts wine tastings, generates wine club memberships, and promotes the sales of our award-winning wines. The Team Leader plays a vital role in delivering a premium wine experience and supporting the growth of retail sales through direct-to-consumer channels.

Key tasks Include:-

  • Conduct tastings, tours and actively promote the sale of the Company's wine products & services
  • Play a key role in hosting VIP guests, delivering exceptional hospitality, and contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of our cellar door experiences to ensure they remain innovative, engaging, and aligned with our brand values
  • Staff supervision, staff training and mentoring
  • Assisting with stock control, bookings and email management
  • Responsible for ensuring that opening and closing procedures are followed and that the Cellar Door is clean, tidy and presentable at all times

About You

We are looking for experience, enthusiasm and flair, coupled with a positive and vibrant approach. Previous supervisory experience, excellent communication skills and good wine knowledge is a must.

Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is essential.
