About the role

Working as a Roadside Technician for J&R Auto Works Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable roadside assistance to members of a nationally recognised roadside assistance brand across metropolitan Sydney. This is a casual position that offers you flexibility between work and your lifestyle, while still providing the opportunity to earn extra money in a work environment that will see you utilising your automotive skills on a daily basis.

What you'll be doing

  1. Responding promptly to member calls for roadside assistance
  2. Diagnose and repair wherever possible various vehicle issues on-site, including but not limited to flat tyres, jump starts, battery replacements, lockouts, and other minor mechanical problems
  3. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all members
  4. Maintain a clean and well-stocked service vehicle to ensure efficient and effective on-site repairs
  5. Collaborate with the broader team and associates to ensure seamless service delivery
  6. Follow all stringent safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of both members and yourself

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a roadside assistance or similar role
  2. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve vehicle issues
  3. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with members
  4. A valid driver's licence and the ability to drive a trade vehicle
  5. A current mechanical automotive licence
  6. Familiarity with a range of vehicle makes and models
  7. A reliable team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  8. A commitment to safety and a willingness to adhere to all relevant policies and procedures

  4. Service vehicle equipped with all main tools required for the job
  5. A daily pay rate plus daily commission based on sales
  6. A rotating roster
