The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ Coordinator to join our high-performing team.

This is a pivotal role supporting a broad range of capital works, maintenance projects, and industrial operations throughout Victoria. Based at our Laverton North office, the role involves a 60/40 split between site-based support and office-based coordination, providing a dynamic mix of field engagement and strategic input.

ASG Civil and Industrial is a leading service provider in pipe repairs and renewals, non-destructive digging, drain cleaning, service locating, CCTV asset condition assessment, industrial services, and more.

We are proud to support critical infrastructure across Victoria, partnering with water and wastewater utilities, councils, Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, and industrial clients. About You

You are a hands-on and solutions-driven safety professional with a passion for improving health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes. With strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence and lead by example, you're ready to step into a key leadership role within our growing business.


Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture across all projects and teams
  • Ensure on-site activities comply with WHS, environmental, and quality standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to promote best practice
  • Support and maintain ASG's Integrated Management System (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001)
  • Manage digital HSEQ reporting systems, including incident reports, inspections, and compliance documentation
  • Investigate and report on incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
  • Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work programs
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings and work collaboratively with operations teams
  • Work closely with clients and their safety and delivery teams to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and contribute to positive project outcomes

What You'll Bring
  • Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or Quality Systems.
  • Demonstrated HSEQ experience within the utilities, water, civil or construction industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in managing incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • High level organisation and reporting capability using digital HSEQ platforms.
