Your Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:

  • Expertly prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages with precision and consistency, ensuring each cup meets our strict standards of excellence.

  • Showcase your skill and creativity through meticulous latte art elevating the visual appeal of each beverage.

  • Engage customers in meaningful conversations about our premium coffee offerings, sharing insights into origins, flavor profiles, and brewing techniques to enhance their coffee knowledge and appreciation.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to stringent hygiene and safety protocols. Regularly calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Head Roaster, fellow baristas and team members, supporting each other to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours and deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Cultivate a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, providing attentive and personalized service to create a memorable experience for every customer.

  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing strong math skills and attention to detail.

  • Contribute to the overall ambiance of our coffee shop by assisting with tasks such as organizing displays and maintaining an inviting environment.

Head Barista

  • Develop & dial-in a weekly coffee menu and supervise the barista team to deliver an objective quality standard

  • Implement and follow a QC & QA system to monitor and improve objective quality and consistency.

  • Develop and implement regular training programs to enhance the skill level of the coffee team and improve the average brew quality and service standards.

  • Work with the head roaster and coffee team to develop new signature beverage ideas in accordance with the Stitch vision and strategy.

  • Monitor & manage department financial performance and work together with the management team to maintain and enhance department profitability.

  • Ensure appropriate equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures are implemented and followed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a specialty coffee barista, by demonstrating the skills listed below:

  • A good and proven skills in operating and maintaining our professional equipments such as Tone, Uber, Fetco and Wally.

  • Able to communicate the profile of coffee origins to customers in a professional manner that is engaging and leading the conversations toward sales.
  • Able to conduct a TDS reading and adjust brew and extraction variables to develop an excellent coffee tasting.
  • Able to dial-in multiple brew methods including pour-over, espresso, batch brew and cold brew.

  • Experience in barista training and leadership.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers in informative and enjoyable conversations.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate the needs of our customers.

  • High standards of professionalism, hygiene, and attention to detail.

  • Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a strong work ethic.
