Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualised exercise programs for clients with a variety of health conditions and fitness levels.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine clients' physical capabilities and health needs.
- Provide education and support to clients to help them achieve their health and fitness goals.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting programs as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Utilise innovative approaches and techniques to enhance the effectiveness of exercise programs-Bungee, Pilates etc
- Promote a positive and motivating environment within the Exercise Physiology centre.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in exercise physiology to continually improve service delivery.
- Work with a variety of diagnoses, ages and complexities (e.g. NDIS, Workers Compensation, Private Health, Aged Care).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
- Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) certification.
- Current membership with a practicing body (e.g., ESSA - Exercise & Sports Science Australia).
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
