About the role
As a PR Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the public image and reputation of an iconic organisation. Reporting to the Public Relations Manager, you will be responsible for implementing strategic communications campaigns, managing media relations, and coordinating high-profile events. This full-time position is based in our Caloundra, Queensland headquarters, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of this beloved Australian brand.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute targeted PR and communications strategies to support the organisation's marketing and brand objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, securing positive media coverage
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of press conferences, media events, and other high-profile activities
- Monitor and analyse media coverage, providing regular reports to the PR Manager
- Support the creation of engaging content for the organisation's website, social media channels, and other digital platforms
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred)
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a PR or communications role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives
- Strong media relations skills and experience in securing positive media coverage
- Proven project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation best practices
