About the role

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and inspire delivery teams in achieving exceptional customer outcomes. In this role, you will shape and deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects that align with organisational strategy, foster strong collaboration, and drive accountability to ensure measurable success. You'll work closely with key stakeholders, lead high-performing teams, and make confident decisions that balance time, cost, scope, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria for AI initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Manage sprint planning and backlogs using tools such as Azure DevOps.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., Microsoft and other vendors).
  • Facilitate clear communication between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide regular status updates, governance reports, and project insights.

Technical Coordination

  • Oversee infrastructure setup for AI solutions, including cloud environments.
  • Ensure seamless integration of AI models and platforms with enterprise systems.
  • Support data engineering, model development, and deployment activities.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and AI ethics requirements.
  • Lead risk assessments and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Align project delivery with organisational governance frameworks.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, track, and proactively mitigate project risks and dependencies.
  • Maintain issue logs and implement timely corrective actions.

Innovation Leadership

  • Identify and prioritise AI use cases aligned with business objectives.
  • Promote continuous improvement and adoption of emerging AI technologies.

Experience and Personal Attributes

  • 5+ years' experience in project management, including 4+ years in financial services—ideally within superannuation, risk insurance, or capital markets.
  • Strong expertise in project governance, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage, inspire, and influence.
  • Commercially savvy with a strong focus on delivering business value.
  • Exceptional communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience managing risk across complex programs.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multiple teams across diverse platforms.
