Horizon Power is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Mechanical Generation Technician to maintain and operate power generation assets across Onslow and surrounding communities.

You'll be responsible for maintaining Generation Assets in accordance with corporate and divisional systems and frameworks to deliver safe, reliable and quality power supply.

This is a residential permanent full time position – you'll be home every night, not on a FIFO roster.

What You'll Do:

• Operate and maintain generation assets to meet safety and performance standards.
• Deliver work packages and technical support for generation activities.
• Ensuring Asset performance is aligned with divisional and corporate performance objectives.
• Contributing to the development of Generation Asset Management Plan.
• Participate in an availability roster.

What You'll Bring:

• A relevant Australian Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Strong experience working in gas power generation equipment, engines and support systems.
• Strong knowledge of generation systems and safety standards.
• Practical knowledge of maintenance systems.
• Ability to work independently and think on your feet.
