The Role:
An exciting permanent part time opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the continuing care inpatient team at Northern Health Broadmeadows Hospital.
The Physiotherapist will provide leadership and ensure high level, evidence-based physiotherapy care.
The role includes the organisation, implementation, development and supervision of physiotherapy care and the promotion of best practice. The clinical caseload will vary depending on demand, and will be a mix of neurological, musculoskeletal and general. The role predominantly involves assessing and treating patients on the Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) wards. It will also involve seeing some clients in the the GEM at Home Program.
This role is ongoing part time - 48 hours per fortnight.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Professional qualifications and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agent (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist (without restrictions)
- A background which includes significant clinical experience resulting in high level of skill inGerontology Physiotherapy
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills
- Experience in the management and education of undergraduate students
- Demonstrated capability in service innovation and development
- Demonstrates leadership skills and initiative in developing and promoting clinical care
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
