84 BED FACILITY IN GREYSTANES is looking for a Care Manager

The Genista aged care facility in Greystanes is part of The Jesmond Group and provides exceptional care to residents who stem from vibrant Mediterranean cultures - primarily of Malta, Italy and Greece. We are the extended family of our residents and are an integral part of local communities. Everything we do is underpinned by kindness and empathy.

The full-time role of Care Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. As the leader of experienced healthcare professionals, you will oversee care planning, promote a safe and supportive environment, actively contribute to the reaccreditation process, and monitor and update AN-ACC classifications.

AHPRA registered, you will have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role in aged care. You will work in close partnership with the Facility Manager and our nursing teams to deliver clinical care. Your passion for clinical best practices, commitment to maximising resident wellbeing, and strong leadership abilities to develop and direct will be key.

As a Care Manager, you will:

  • Provide guidance, supervision and education to our dedicated nursing and care staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver the highest standards of care.
  • Manage compliance of legislative requirements and maintain accreditation, and drive clinical governance across the facility.
  • Working with Head Office, you will be involved in HR activities to drive effective recruitment, rostering, education and performance.

Whilst we are looking at the best candidate for the role, experience in working within and understanding the drivers of Mediterranean communities would be well received.
