COLLEGE BACKGROUND

Mercedes College is a Catholic secondary school for girls in Years 7 to 12, governed by Mercy Education Limited and grounded in the Mercy Tradition. Situated in the heart of Perth CBD and part of the City's heritage precinct, the College was the first foundation of the Sisters of Mercy in Australia and is the oldest girls' school in Australia on the original site of foundation.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Flexi Path Coordinator at Mercedes College will lead the operation and strategic approach to inclusive education for high needs students outside of mainstream, adhering to NCCD processes to enhance positive educational outcomes.

The Flexi Path Coordinator will collaborate with families and external providers to identify, document, and review the reasonable adjustments required for each student to best access the curriculum. Developing strategic pathways, courses, learning goals and securing work experience as part of supporting the access to vocational pathway opportunities are essential aspects of the role. Clear processes, procedures, and timelines are required for the administrative part of the role. The individual case management approach ensures that the student is provided with adequate adjustments for a flexible pathway, and that data entry is correct for funding applications and reporting.
