This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join The Village site in Inglewood on a casual basis.
Whilst working as a Therapy Assistant you will be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team and provide assistance in all aspects of day-to-day care and individualised therapy, lifestyle and leisure programs. This role focuses on creating meaningful experiences, ensuring each day is the best it can be for our clients by promoting engagement, connection, and well-being.
The successful candidate will be working at The Village site; a 56 bed facility providing dementia specific care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience working as a Therapy Assistant, with experience supporting individuals with dementia viewed favourably.
Therapy Assistants at The Village work Monday to Friday with shift times of 9am-4pm and 10am-2pm. To be considered for this role you must be available to work at least three week days each week between the hours of 9am-4pm. The successful candidate will be offered a casual contract.

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or progress towards)
- Experience working as a Therapy Assistant, ideally within dementia specific care
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- A positive, proactive and client focused approach
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Western Australian Driver's licence
Responsibilities include:
- Provision of goal directed therapy programs in accordance with Care Plan in group or individual settings
- Provision of recreational based activities to meet social and emotional needs
- Contribute to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve wellbeing
- Support volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
- Contribute to site reporting, accreditation standards and legislative compliance by completing all documentation and reporting incidents
