What You Will Do & What You Will Bring

This is a casual position

As an
MCAD Engineer, experienced using
Siemens NX CAD

you will:

• Detail the design of parts, assemblies, and associated manufacturing drawings in NX CAD, with a particular focus on Injection Moulded Plastics design, and associated advanced MCAD modelling techniques.
• Create mechanical concepts to solve technical requirements in a simple and robust manner
• Work with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and cross functional teams to design and develop new products
• Construct prototypes and performing mechanical and functional testing
• Generate technical documents including design descriptions
• Perform 2D Tolerance Analysis of MCAD assemblies

In addition, we require the following skills and experience:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in industry
• Available for immediate start
• Experience using
  NX- CAD
  (required) for designing components using various materials/processes, including:
• Plastics (primarily injection moulding)
• Sheet metal
• Metals for CNC machining
• Excellent and innate mechanical engineering aptitude, coupled with a passion for designing and building products or machinery
• Superior problem diagnosis & solving skills
• Positive, self-motivated disposition and personal accountability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail
