The primary role of Engineering function within Product Development team is to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineers who design, write and test code for the product should be matched in the either Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developers who specialize in hardware systems should be matched to Hardware Engineering.

About The Role
As a Software Engineer in ResMed's
Digital Solutions
group, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting innovative, scalable software systems that advance our digital diagnostics capabilities.
You will collaborate with a talented, cross-functional team that values learning, experimentation, and engineering excellence. You will work across the full stack - from backend services to frontend interfaces and cloud infrastructure - helping to deliver secure, high-quality solutions that improve patient outcomes and experiences.
You will also have the opportunity to explore and apply AI-assisted development practices that enhance both how we build software and how we deliver smarter, more connected healthcare experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native services and frameworks within our digital health platform.
- Implement and maintain scalable microservices and frontend components following established architectural patterns.
- Collaborate with team members to design, build, and support AWS-based infrastructure and cloud services.
- Extend and improve automated testing frameworks, including unit and integration tests.
- Implement performance, reliability, and security improvements across services.
- Work closely with product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality, maintainable software solutions.
What You'll Bring

- Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Experience developing backend services using an object-oriented programming language and familiarity with modern frameworks.
- Exposure to frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern frameworks such as React.
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of databases, microservice architectures, and modern DevOps practices.
- Passion for learning new technologies and building impactful products in digital health.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
