About the role
The City of Coffs Harbour is offering a fantastic opportunity for an individual to commence in a two-year fixed term traineeship in Procurement to start in Jan 2026. We are seeking a motivated candidate with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn to gain vital experience and knowledge within a dynamic local government environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career through a structured traineeship in Certificate IV in Business. As a Procurement Trainee, you'll receive hands-on training and development in contracts, procurement processes, and administrative support across the Procurement team.
Under the guidance of experienced staff, you'll assist with purchasing, stores operations, and customer enquiries, while also supporting other areas within Financial Services and Logistics. You'll help plan and organise materials and resources, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and professionally. Additional duties may be assigned based on your skills and training, giving you a well-rounded foundation for future growth.

About you
You're on track to complete Year 12 (or equivalent) by 2025 and excited to launch your career with enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn. You hold a provisional Driver's Licence and bring a friendly, customer-focused approach from any part-time, volunteer, or paid experience. You're comfortable using Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel and keen to build on your skills. With clear communication, a team-first mindset, and a positive attitude, you're ready to grow and explore opportunities in Procurement & Logistics.

- Competitive Salary (from $827.40 / weekly) + 12% superannuation
