About Us

We are a fast-growing Australian e-commerce company specializing in premium home and garden products, operating through our WordPress/WooCommerce platform. We're looking for a WordPress Web Developer who can manage, optimize, and improve our site, ensuring high performance, strong SEO, and seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

  • WordPress & WooCommerce Management
  • Maintain, update, and optimize WordPress and WooCommerce.
  • Manage plugins, including WPBakery, WooCommerce add-ons, SEO plugins (Yoast, WooCommerce SEO), caching (WP Rocket, EverCache), and coupon/review/payment gateway plugins.
  • Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, performance bottlenecks, and long checkout processes.
  • Performance Optimization
  • Optimize site speed and Core Web Vitals
  • Resolve cache bypass issues
  • Optimize database queries, reduce plugin bloat, and implement staging site testing.
  • Front-End Development
  • Customize and optimize theme layouts.
  • Improve mobile UX .
  • Build responsive, user-friendly pages with WPBakery, custom CSS, and minimal custom PHP where required.
  • Technical SEO
  • Implement structured data, schema markup, canonical tags, and optimized meta fields.
  • Maintain internal linking strategies, optimize product/category pages, and integrate blog content for SEO boosts.
  • Integrations & Analytics
  • Manage Google Analytics, Google Ads tracking, and conversion tags.
  • Handle API and feed integrations.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Implement and monitor site security best practices.
  • Manage backups, SSL certificates, and malware scans.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian e-commerce standards.

Required Skills

  • Technical Knowledge
  • Strong experience with WordPress & WooCommerce (setup, management, optimization).
  • Plugin management (conflicts, updates, troubleshooting).
  • Caching systems
  • MySQL/Database optimization.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP .
  • Familiarity with WPBakery and theme customization.
  • SEO & Analytics
  • Experience with on-page SEO, technical SEO, and schema.
  • Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work in high-traffic WooCommerce stores.
  • Experience with Australian e-commerce compliance.
  • Understanding of marketing-driven e-commerce (Facebook Ads, Google Ads tracking).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
