Overview

Join the Power Station team in Alice Springs, where you'll provide invaluable technical expertise in mechanical maintenance. Your role will encompass both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of critical equipment. This Local to Alice Springs NT. Must be Permanent resident or Australian Citizen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) processes and procedures
  • Maintain large gas/diesel reciprocating engines and electricity generation equipment
  • Investigate critical plant incidents and complete technical reports
  • Follow manufacturers maintenance procedures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and participate in housekeeping duties
  • Contribute to on-call roster and travel to other stations as required
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies

About You…

The successful Candidate must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria;

  • Mechanical Fitter or Diesel Mechanic trade qualifications
  • Current full NT driver's license
  • Extensive experience in maintaining gas/diesel reciprocating engines
  • Ability to perform detailed fault-finding
  • Proficiency in reading technical documents and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and competency in workplace safety
  • Current B Class Gas licence (or the ability to obtain)

Desirable:

  • High Risk Licences (CSE, forklift, working at heights, EWP), current senior first aid
  • Contractor management and supervision experience
