Position Overview

The Senior Cook is responsible for leading daily kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership, and a commitment to food safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present meals to a high standard across lunch and dinner services.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate workflow during peak service periods.
  • Assist with menu development, stock control, and supplier coordination.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and productive kitchen culture.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Formal trade qualifications in cookery or hospitality.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Strong communication, time management, and team leadership skills.
