Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. We are seeking to engage a Registered Pharmacist in an assignment to support our district's Winter Bed Strategy. In this role you will be responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services by becoming an active member of the patient care team. The successful incumbent will liaise and work collaboratively with community pharmacists and general practitioners. In this role, you are expected to become an active member in enhancing the patient care processes and medication safety by assuring best practice in therapeutics and medication accuracy are complied with at transitions of care.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated post graduate clinical experience in a health care setting
  3. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  4. Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and within an inter-professional team environment
  5. Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills
  6. Record of ongoing professional development
  7. Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Access) and Pharmacy Inventory and Dispensing programs
