We're looking for a fully registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join us as a subcontractor, with the opportunity to step into a Clinical Lead role managing the practice for the right person over time.

The Role – Phase 1 (Subcontractor)

You will:

• See primarily workers' compensation clients, Medicare clients, and private referrals – both face-to-face in East Perth and via Telehealth.
• Manage your own client load, with support for intake and scheduling.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions for PTSD, depression, anxiety, and related presentations.
• Improve clients' experience in navigating the workers' compensation system—particularly those with PTSD and work-related claims—by assisting injury management consultants, treating doctors, and the worker to achieve the best possible outcome.
• Learn and follow our clinical systems and procedures for workers' compensation clients.
• Bill a minimum of 6–7 clinical hours per day (pro rata for part-time), which is achievable when following our systems and procedures.
• Allocate at least two full days per week to the position initially, to allow your client caseload to build steadily.
• Maintain clear, timely clinical notes in line with APS Code of Ethics and AHPRA requirements.
• Embrace and learn new software tools that can make your practice more efficient.
• Contribute to or deliver online training to employers on best-practice support for psychologically injured workers.

The Role – Phase 2 (Clinical Lead Managing Practice)

For the right person, this role can evolve to include:

• Recruiting and onboarding new psychologists.
• Providing weekly peer supervision groups and one-on-one supervision.
• Reviewing and overseeing clinical documentation.
• Delivering internal training and professional development.
• Ensuring team billable targets are met while maintaining quality of care.
• Liaising with referrers, insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Overseeing the smooth operation of the practice, ensuring clinical and administrative systems run efficiently.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Fully registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with AHPRA (preferably Clinical).
• ABN holder, operating as an independent business (must meet ATO contractor requirements, including maintaining some work outside this practice — typically at least 20–25% elsewhere).
• Experience in PTSD, depression, and anxiety treatment.
• Commitment to learning and applying our systems and procedures for workers' compensation clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in professional growth.
• Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team member.
• Commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.

Desirable:

• Completed EMDR basic and advanced training.
• Solid understanding of trauma-informed treatments.
• Experience in workers' compensation, injury management, or insurance-based clients.
• Previous leadership, supervision, or training experience.
• Familiarity with practice management systems and Telehealth platforms.

Remuneration

• 60% (including superannuation of chargeable fees) as a subcontractor
• salary package may be available for the right person
