Join our team as a Casual Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer, based at our Varsity Lakes office, where you'll gain hands-on industry experience supporting real projects, with the potential for a full-time opportunity upon completion of your degree.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with design calculations, analysis, and technical deliverables.
- Support project coordination, documentation, and reporting.
- Review vendor and manufacturer documentation for compliance.
- Assist with material preparation and testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions
- Collaborate with the drafting team on engineering drawings and design checks.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and data collection.
- Develop knowledge of Australian Standards and client specifications.
- Support compliance through review of technical documentation.
- Assist in proposal preparation and support client engagement.
- Actively contribute to the QPE team and support a positive team culture.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Senior Engineer.
- In the process of completing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Relevant industry experience will be considered to determine starting level.
- Be prepared to register with and work towards a Mechanical Engineering degree that satisfies the entry requirements for Chartered membership with Engineers Australia
- Excellent communication skills when working with cross-function teams.
- Ability and willingness to undertake travel as required to meet Project needs.
