What we are looking for

We need a highly motivated and reliable Fruit and Vegetable Assistant to join our team. This is someone who prides themselves on providing exceptional customer service, pays attention to detail in the presentation and management of stock quality and levels, and is hard working and wants to be a part of a great team with the possibility of management positions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Fruit and vegetable merchandising and opening/closing store preparation, cutting and wrapping of fruit and vegetables
  • Assist with stock management, refrigerating stock, stocktaking, prep for next day and general upkeep and cleaning of work areas
  • Ensuring stock levels are adequate, rotated, and store presentation is well maintained
  • Providing the highest standards of customer service
  • Reliable and ability to work within a team environment
  • Helping with deliveries

To be successful for this role you must have the following:

  • Prior experience in the fruit & vegetable industry
  • Friendly, approachable and well presented
  • Physically fit with ability to lift reasonable weight safely
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends (store is open 7 days)
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment
  • Be available to start from 6am
  • Drivers Licence
