Roadways is a proudly Tasmanian-owned company with a 60-year legacy of delivering high-quality road surfacing, line marking and civil services throughout Tasmania. We are seeking an experienced bitumen sprayer driver (Road Surfacing) to join our skilled team in Burnie.
About the Role
Based in Burnie, you will play a key role in our northern operations, helping deliver high-quality road surfacing projects across northern and north-west Tasmania. You'll report to the Surfacing Supervisor and Manager (North), working closely with a dedicated and skilled crew.
There is a physical aspect to this job, so a good level of fitness is important, along with a strong work ethic and reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring a strong safety-first culture and WHS compliance
Safe operation of bitumen sprayer truck for road projects
Correct application of bitumen in accordance to projects
General maintenance of spray truck and other equipment
General duties as required
What You'll Bring
Current HC or MC heavy vehicle licence
Dangerous Goods Licence
Traffic Management Ticket
White Card
Ability to work as part of a team
Computer & basic maths competency
Commitment to safety
Willingness to travel, work night shifts/weekends, and do overtime in peak season
