Workspace Cleaners is a rapidly growing commercial cleaning company with customers all over Melbourne.

We're looking for a Cleaner Manager to join our team of professional commercial cleaners. The Cleaner Manager role is a hands-on cleaning role, with about half of your time spent on cleaning duties, and the other half spent managing and supporting our cleaning teams.

The Cleaner Manager role is ideal for an experienced cleaner who wants to take a step towards management. You will be mentored by the business owner with a target of becoming a full time Supervisor within 6 months.

You will also be eligible for a performance bonus of up to 10% of your salary, which will be tied to clear and transparent performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Spend 50–60% of your time on cleaning with key clients.
  • Supervise small teams on larger sites and lead by example.
  • Conduct quality inspections and coach cleaners for continuous improvement.
  • Follow up on customer requests and feedback.
  • Work closely with our remote Operations Assistant to ensure all jobs are resourced.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
  • Set-up new customer sites with gear, cleaning plans, and access.
  • Complete specialist cleaning services such as carpet and window cleaning.
  • Ensure compliance with all OH&S regulations and company policies.

Clear promotion pathway:

  • The Supervisor position comes with a significant pay increase and a decrease in general cleaning activities.

Your experience:

  • 2+ years previous cleaning experience, especially in commercial cleaning.
  • Previous management / supervisor experience is a huge bonus.
  • Previous customer service experience is a bonus.
  • Experience with carpet cleaning and / or window cleaning is a bonus.
  • Confident communicating with customers and team members.

Other requirements:

  • Police Check
  • A car / drivers license to get between customer sites
  • Ability to work a mix of daytime and evening hours
  • Ability to travel to multiple customer sites across Melbourne
