Disability Support Worker – Sunnybank

Are you an experienced and compassionate support worker passionate about empowering people with disabilities and making a positive difference in their lives?

Alpha Care and Share is currently seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to support NDIS participants in Sunnybank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support participants with daily living tasks, emotional wellbeing, and community participation
  • Encourage independence while ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Implement strategies from Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Accurately complete documentation and shift notes
  • Provide respectful, person-centred, and culturally sensitive care

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with stroke, muscular dystrophy, psychosocial disabilities, or autism spectrum disorder/ABI
  • Ability to engage participants in a culturally sensitive manner; Filipino cultural understanding and Tagalog/Bisaya language skills will be highly regarded
  • Own car and confident driving in Brisbane
  • Availability during weekday afternoons
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Flexible availability and a strong commitment to person-centred care

Mandatory Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
