About Us

Koala Child Care Centre is a community-based early childhood centre dedicated to educating and caring for children from 8 weeks to 5 years old. We are proud to be rated as exceeding in all 7 quality areas. Located on the grounds of Sutherland Hospital, Koala Child Care Centre boasts a wonderful team of educators. We now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma Trained Educator to join our 3-5 year old preschool room.

If you have a passion for learning and teaching children from Birth to 5 years, possess good communication skills, and are patient, empathetic, creative, adaptable, observant, and organised, this is the job for you.

We are seeking someone with a sound knowledge of child development and the ability to implement a play-based learning environment to strengthen our team of educators and enhance our centre.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Must hold a Diploma in Children's Services

  • Have a Working With Children Check number or be willing to obtain one

  • Current child protection qualifications

  • First aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis training- Able to provide 2 references

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Educating and caring for children from Birth to 5 years

Pay: $31.00 – $35.00 per hour
