Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Tutors who are study at or have graduated from the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, Monash University, or the University of Queensland to provide professional support for university students across various disciplines.

Responsibilities:

1. Assignment Support

  • Assist students with a wide range of academic tasks, including:
  • Essays, Reports, Reflections
  • Business Plans
  • Presentations (PPT + Oral Script)
  • Posters, Blogs
  • Dissertations, Group Essays & Presentations
  • Online Exams (support and preparation)

2. One-on-One or Group Tutoring

  • Provide academic guidance through personalized sessions.
  • Offer exam preparation support (Final Exams, Mid-terms, Quizzes).
  • Assist with brainstorming, outlining, and revising assignments and dissertations.
  • Support students in developing academic skills and confidence.

3. Academic Appeal Support

  • Assist students with academic appeal processes including course withdrawal, retake the exam, and remarking of assessments. Candidates with relevant experience are preferred. (No restriction on academic major)

Subject Areas:

Our tutoring covers a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to:

  • Business (Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.)
  • Social Sciences & Humanities (Media, Communication, Multimedia, Film & Television Studies etc.)

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background in at least one of the fields listed above.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in academic tutoring, mentoring or dealing with appealing cases is an asset.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) preferred, but not required.

Addition

  • For the tutoring responsibility, Mandarin is an asset.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience and subject expertise.
