About the role
Mesh and Bar Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Steel Loader to join our team in Pakenham, VIC. This position is an afternoon role, 2pm - 10pm. This role is responsible for loading and unloading steel products efficiently and safely, ensuring timely delivery to our customers. As a Steel Loader, you will play a vital part in the smooth operation of our production and distribution facility in Pakenham.
What you'll be doing
- Safely load and unload steel products from delivery trucks using an overhead crane, forklifts and other equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
- Assist in the organisation and storage of products in the warehouse
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and cranes safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures and policies
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a warehousing, logistics or distribution role, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry (beneficial, not required)
- Forklift licence and experience operating warehouse equipment (beneficial, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
