About the business

We are a family owned and established dental surgery located on Lonsdale Street in the heart of Braddon. Our practice is located close to the city and within walking distance to the tram. We have fully computerised surgery facilities, and modern state of the art equipment.  We offer high standard comprehensive dentistry and preventative care and we pride ourselves on our integrity and caring attitude towards patient care. Our practice has been running for over 30 years and we have grown our patient community mainly by word-of-mouth.

About the role

An opportunity has arisen to join our small and dedicated team on a casualbasis, with opportunities to progress to part-time/full-time. Our practice in Braddon is in search of a career-minded Dental Assistant who will enhance our team delivering top quality care to our family of patients.

This person would assist us in patient care from when they arrive for their appointment, right up until they leave. This involves multiple responsibilities such as:

  • Welcoming patients
  • Chair-side assistance during procedures; including preparation and handling of materials
  • Preparation and cleaning of treatment rooms
  • The ability to learn (or knowledge of) dental sterilisation procedures
  • Answering phones and appointment book scheduling
  • Payment handling and dismissal of patients
  • Management of correspondence

Dental Assisting experience or a Qualification Cert III in Dental Assisting is an advantage, however we will provide training to the successful candidate.
