Description:

Our focus on quality and exceeding our customer's needs mean that as a business we are continuously growing. As a result, we are looking for experienced pick and packer to join our food production team based at our facility in Eastern Creek. You will manage the day-to-day tasks and ensure the smooth running of production while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The hours are 38 per week compressed over 4 days - Monday to Thursday 11.30am to 9.30pm

The Role:

  • Picking & packing products from a light system
  • Working in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing for an extended period of time
  • Pushing and pulling of racks and boxes up to 15kgs
  • Repetitive picking between overhead and knee height

About you:

  • Have the ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in food production would be highly regarded
  • Able to work in a cold environment set to 4 degrees, possibility of freezer work
  • The ability to work within strict food quality standards and guidelines
  • Good communication skills and both written/verbal
  • Understand the importance of team work with an energetic and flexible approach
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Must be physically fit, able to move and lift products up to 15kgs

Skills and Experiences:

Packing – fast-paced, physical role, you must be OK to work in a chiller environment

Food Preparation – involves cutting meat & vegetable ingredients to specification for processing, measuring, mixing and preparing food for various cooking processes

Assembly – involves working on a line with repetitive actions and moving parts; running of food to different areas; lifting, pushing and pulling of racks and boxes up to 15kgs

Cleaning – food work areas, machinery, equipment, all internal parts of factory + some external areas

Stores – working in cold-room/freezer environment; must have forklift ticket, high reach experience, pick packing
