We are expanding Due to increasing demand for support in Home & Community Care services, our team in the Caloundra area is looking for casual or part-time employees.
We are specifically seeking qualified Home Care Employees with a Certificate III in Individual Support. We highly value candidates who are qualified in medication competency. The role of a Home Care Employee is varied and offers flexible work hours. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, there are plenty of opportunities to gain meaningful experience while you pursue your passion for quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist with daily tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene to ensure clients' comfort, dignity, and well-being. (Certificate III in Individual Support required.)
- Household Assistance: Support clients with cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, and general household tasks to maintain a safe and tidy living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social activities, ensuring they can access essential services and maintain their independence.
- Social Engagement: Foster social interaction and provide companionship, offering emotional support to improve clients' quality of life and overall well-being.
- Virtual Care Support (where required): Assist clients to participate in virtual care services delivered by McLean Care's multidisciplinary allied health and nursing team. This includes helping clients connect to telehealth appointments using an iPad or digital device, supporting basic clinician-directed tasks such as mobility checks or measurements, and ensuring devices remain charged and ready for use. You will play a key role in helping clients confidently access digital healthcare, particularly those in rural or remote areas. Training will be provided, and these duties will be incorporated based on your interest and client needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Competency with smartphones/tablets or willingness to learn
- Physical fitness for manual handling and extended periods of standing and sitting
Qualifications:
- Qualified Home Care Employee: Certificate III in Individual Support (essential)
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR or willingness to obtain
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's License
