About the role

We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Manager - Technology Risk, you'll be responsible for overseeing and managing ART's technology risk management activities in the first line of defence. In this role, you'll identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks to ensure ART's technology infrastructure and operations are secure and resilient, effective risk management strategies are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

In this role, you'll support the Executive General Manager (EGM) – Technology and the Technology Leadership Team (LT) in delivering against all requirements of the ART Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensuring effective risk management across the business area. You will also ensure an accurate Technology risk profile is maintained, which is considerate of cross-business unit dependencies and patterns.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • Deep knowledge of risk management and compliance objectives and approaches.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation within the Financial Services industry and proven ability to integrate into existing risk frameworks.
  • Ability to manage and influence change and to provide practical guidance on implementation of new requirements, at a senior stakeholder level.
  • Highly developed verbal communication and writing skills, particularly for a senior audience.
  • High levels of initiative and motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Although not essential, you may also possess the following:

  • Relevant experience in a technology risk management role in financial services
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology environments.
