The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex models for forecasting electricity demand and optimising asset dispatch.
  • Analyse large datasets from internal systems and external sources to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with commercial, engineering and operations teams to support decision-making with data-driven insights.
  • Design and implement predictive diagnostics and machine learning algorithms to optimise asset performance and market participation.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders through clear visualisations and reports.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and asset management diagnostics in the energy sector.

About You

You're a curious and analytical thinker with a passion for solving complex problems. You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy translating data into actionable strategy.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in data science, statistical modelling, or quantitative analysis ideally within the energy utilities sector.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience with energy market modelling, forecasting, or asset optimisation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
