Council are seeking a Commercial Property Officer to join our team

As a "Commercial Property Officer" You Will

  • Assist with and manage Council's diverse property portfolio;
  • Oversee a range of property matters, including acquisitions, leases and disposals
  • Provide specialist advice on property-related issues
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement across the Local Government Area

You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver positive business development outcomes, community services, and maximise financial returns. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Economic Activation and Analysis team and gain exposure to senior directorate roles, supporting diversity and knowledge sharing.

Opportunities Exist For
This role will require you to draw on your key strengths in stakeholder relationships to ensure effective management of Council's property assets to develop positive business development, community services and maximising financial outcomes.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • A Tertiary qualification in Property and/or Property Valuation such as Land Economy, Conveyancing, Diploma or equivalent practical experience in property management and/or business development
  • Registered or licensed under relevant legislation
  • Significant demonstrated experience in managing property and commercial matters
  • Highly developed consultation and conflict resolution skills with a strong ability to initiate and finalise complex matters of key importance to Council
  • The capacity to build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Current Class C driver's licence

Salary range: Grade 16 -
$93, $101,195.12 per annum excluding 12% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a Pre-employment Medical Screening including Alcohol & Other Drugs Testing.
