About Us:

For over 60 years, Clever Care NOW has been caring for the community. We operate on a not-for-profit basis and provide in-home care, private and mobile nursing, personal care, assisted transport, physiotherapy and day trips to ensure our clients can live at home independently for as long as possible. We have an exciting opportunity for a casual driver to operate our day tripper van as well as provide assisted transport to our clients.

The Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide transport services for our elderly clients to medical appointments, personal engagements and events. There is also the opportunity to be involved in our Day Tripper program which offers a variety of social outings to our clients and helps them live life to the fullest. You'll be part of a highly supportive and collaborative team who are passionate about delivering high quality, empathetic and respectful care that aligns with industry best practice and customer-focused care principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a supportive and caring presence for our clients whilst being committed to promoting dignity and choice.
  • Be accountable for the welfare, comfort, and safety of individuals and group members traveling from their homes to the Day Centre or other outings and appointments, and for their return home.
  • Assist at mealtimes and with toileting when required.
  • Take care of and maintain the bus / vehicle; clean and ensure regular servicing.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture through respectful and supportive communication.

The successful candidate will require:

  • Dedication to the provision of quality care.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change.
  • Able to fulfil the physical requirements of the position.
  • Current Basic Life Support and First Aid Certificates.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and completion of Worker Orientation Module.
  • Current driver's licence and full driving history report.
  • Previous Aged Care experience (desirable).
  • Certificate in Aged Care or Community Services (desirable).
