About the role

This is a full-time or part-time, 12-month maternity leave position for a Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) or actively working towards an approved ECT qualification to join the dedicated team at Berrigan Children's Centre Association Incorporated in Berrigan, NSW. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to the children enrolled at the centre.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that promote the learning and development of children aged 0-5 years
  • Observing and assessing children's progress, and using this information to tailor learning experiences
  • Building positive relationships with children, families and the broader community
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with other educators to share knowledge and best practices
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Adhering to all relevant early childhood education regulations and centre policies
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting other educators

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) OR be actively working towards an approved ECT qualification
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
  • A deep understanding of the EYLF, NQS and child development
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A warm, collaborative and reflective teaching style
