The Company

Facility Management Victoria Pty Ltd (FMV) is a leading facility/building management company in Melbourne, managing over 60 of Victoria's most prestigious high-rise buildings and working with over 13 different Owners Corporation Management companies. FMV offers a variety of residential and commercial property services that includes but not limited to Building Management, Concierge Services, Security Services, etc.

The Role

FMV is seeking a well-presented and professional Security Officer (Minimum requirement Certificate II in Security Operations) to join our team, working at a premium high-rise residential property. This is a full-time position and offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive, well-trained team delivering high-quality services to residents, visitors, and contractors.

The position involves full time afternoon & overnight security shifts on a rotating roster, where you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the building, monitoring systems and CCTV, conducting regular patrols, and providing professional concierge-style support to residents and guests.

A current Security Licence is essential for this position. Previous experience in residential buildings will be highly regarded, along with strong communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a professional presentation.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Ensure the safety and security of all residents and visitors.
  • Provide concierge and security services to a high standard.
  • Assist with cleaning and minor maintenance of common areas to maintain presentation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for our building management team.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, owners, and contractors.
  • Monitor fire alarm systems and respond appropriately in the event of an activation.
  • Monitor CCTV and conduct building patrols.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A current Security Licence (essential). Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • Experience working in residential buildings (essential).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good presentation, punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Knowledge of building management systems (e.g. BuildingLink, MYBOS) is highly regarded.
  • First Aid certificate.
