About the Role

Larvotto Resources is forging ahead, and we are seeking a dynamic Maintainer, Electrical - Underground to join our on-site Mining team on 8 days on, 6 days off roster. This role reports into the Supervisor, Electrical UG and is responsible for conducting safety inspections, fault testing, and hazard reporting to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Plan and execute work safely, with a strong focus on environmental impacts and operational efficiency.
  • Perform tasks that uphold the company's mission and core values.
  • Carry out electrical installations on systems up to 1000V AC.
  • Perform electrical maintenance, including scheduled servicing, statutory testing, and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on mobile and fixed plant equipment, including underground mining equipment.
  • Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure such as dewatering systems and telemetry.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with good practice and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare shift reports detailing completed work.
  • Uphold high housekeeping standards in maintenance areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Perform additional relevant duties as required.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with underground assets including fans, diamond drill rigs, jumbos, 1000V and HV switching, remote bogging.
  • Install and maintain underground electrical and communication reticulation systems, including high- and low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Install, maintain, and repair underground remote and tele-remote systems to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Conduct maintenance and breakdown tasks on underground drilling equipment.
  • Set up, inspect, and fault-find underground communication systems such as Leaky Feeder, Fibre Optic, and Radio UHF, and update relevant drawings.
  • Statutory testing.
  • Ensure safe operation and maintenance of power and utilities infrastructure, including 11kV substations, underground power (11kV–1kV), and emergency backup systems.
  • Oversee maintenance of ventilation fans controlled by 1000V DOL and VSDs.
  • Commission and decommission electrical equipment.
  • Maintain and repair RCT remote bogging/guidance systems.
  • Fault-finding, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of High Voltage & Low Voltage underground infrastructure, mobile equipment, and primary and secondary pumping/ventilation systems.

About You

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
  • Electrical License (NSW) or willing to obtain
  • First Aid Certificate, CPR Qualification
  • Low Voltage Rescue (LVR)
  • Working at Heights (WAH)
  • Confined Space ticket (Desirable)
  • Valid Manual C Class Drivers Licence
  • Previous underground mining experience highly desirable, with knowledge of mining electrical systems
  • Minimum 3-5 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in mining or industrial environments

Other Requirements:

  • Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
  • Must be able to provide a valid National Police Clearance, obtained within the last six months upon request.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening, and comply with ongoing testing during employment.
