Due to continued growth and success across our business, we now have opportunities for an experienced Boilermaker / Welder to join our expanding team. At BMI our well-equipped workshop is set up to offer reclamation and general engineering capabilities which can accommodate the smallest of assets up to some of the largest fixed plant and mobile equipment in the industry.
About the role
Based in our well-equipped workshop in Acacia Ridge the role will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Welding and fabrication of various components including but not limited to hydraulic components, fabricated machined items and mining equipment.
- Carry out general welding duties in line with engineering drawing requirements or instruction.
- Read and understand Engineering Drawings.
- Assist if required in performing fitting, maintenance, and general duties.
- Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
- Take instruction and direction from the Workshop Supervisor.
About you
The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Trade Qualification (Boilermaker / Welding).
- Experience working on welding rotators.
- Previous experience within heavy engineering and hydraulics industry.
- Ability to read engineering drawings & computer literacy.
- Work well within a team, autonomously and unsupervised.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Punctual and reliable.
