Folly is a locally owned café and bar nestled in Redlynch, Cairns. Known for its creative flair, quality coffee, curated wine and cocktail list, and warm community atmosphere, Folly has fast become a favourite with locals and visitors alike. We're an independent business with big vision and deep local roots.
As we grow, we're looking for a driven and experienced Café Supervisor to take the lead in running our venue and supporting our small but passionate team.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on leadership role for someone who's passionate about hospitality, loves creating great customer experiences, and is confident managing both people and operations. You'll be at the heart of our day-to-day service, ensuring Folly continues to deliver quality and consistency to every guest.
Key Responsibilities-
Manage daily café operations including staffing, stock, and service

Be an expert in coffee, and a fatnastic trainer for more junior barista's

Lead and support a small team of baristas and FOH staff

Maintain excellent customer service and venue presentation

Help to coordinate ordering, supplier relationships, and stock control

Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing requirements

Contribute to planning, events, and venue development with the owners
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

At least 2 years' experience in café or hospitality management
-
Strong barista skills and confidence on the machine including dialling in, interest in selection single origin options, and creating new beverage options

Natural leadership and clear communication skills

A calm, can-do approach to fast-paced service

Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends

Food safety certificate
-
Current RSA
-
Competitive salary of $73,000 + super
