H-E Parts is a leading independent supplier of parts, remanufactured components, and equipment to the global mining, quarrying, heavy construction, and energy sectors throughout Australia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker for day shift to join the H-E Parts team at our new Wattleup facility.  The role will be Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend work as required.

To be considered for this role applicants must have 5 years leading hand experience in a heavy manufacturing / MEM environment, a strong focus and commitment to health and safety and the ability to manage job schedules and allocation of new and repair products in the workshop. 

Key responsibilities include: -

To ensure that jobs and safety instructions issued by the Workshop Supervisor are carried out as required. 

To ensure high standards of workmanship throughout the department are maintained with positive mentoring and leading by example. 

Provide regular updates to the Workshop Supervisor to ensure timelines are met and communication is maintained. 

Assist in maintaining a high level of housekeeping. 

When required assist all trade employees to ensure they are learning on the job. 

When required conduct pre-start meetings to cover all daily issues including; safety, job requirements, communication etc. 

Maintain compliance and continually improve the way we do things. 

Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and internal customers. 

Qualifications and Experience required:

Trade qualification and a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Heavy manufacturing / MEM environment or mining related industry

Demonstrated experience in a supervisory / leadership role

Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime

A proven commitment to Health and Safety

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Highly regarded (but not essential):

Experience with Pronto or SAP

Microsoft Project / scheduling software's
