Admin Assistant

J&J Interiors is a leading commercial construction company in Canberra ACT.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and proactive individual to join our office team as an Admin Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team full-time. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will have key responsibilities, including ordering materials, assisting with new employee onboarding, and serving as the first point of contact for the office.

This diverse front-of-house position requires flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities of the role include;

• liaising with employees, suppliers and clients,
• providing general admin support to directors and managers,
• ordering materials,
• basic data entry,
• managing spreadsheets and complex documents (Microsoft Office Suite),
• answering and diverting phone calls,
• general office support,
• assisting in the recruitment and induction process,
• managing admin emails, and;
• supporting HR and management with administrative tasks.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for an individual with the following attributes:

• minimum 12 months of experience in a similar role,
• good time management,
• proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook,
• strong work ethic,
• excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• polite, happy, energetic and positive demeanour,
• willingness to help others, and;
• good attention to detail.
