Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Business Analyst to support the implementation of data policies across risk and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, risk policy implementation, and experience working in financial services or stock exchange environments. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure data is consumed, modeled, and governed effectively to meet regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business units to define and implement data policies related to risk and compliance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for data governance initiatives.
  • Support the development and maintenance of data models that align with business needs and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive consensus on data governance and risk-related processes.
  • Assist in the design and rollout of data consumption strategies across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external data regulations (e.g., GDPR, Basel, SEBI).
  • Document business processes, data flows, and governance frameworks.
  • Work with IT and data teams to ensure proper data lineage, metadata management, and quality controls.
  • Monitor and report on data governance KPIs and risk metrics.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, stock exchange, or related domains.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and risk & compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in implementing data policies and controls in regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and data consumption practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as GDPR, SOX, Basel III, SEBI guidelines, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Management, or related field.
  • Certification in Data Governance, Risk Management, or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CRISC, DGSP).
