About The Role
As Associate Structural Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and manage the structural design and delivery of mid-rise residential buildings and government-funded developments across Melbourne.
  • Drive technical excellence across projects, overseeing design, documentation, and quality assurance.
  • Support business growth by leveraging your industry connections and building strong relationships with developers, government bodies, architects, and builders.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Directors to contribute to strategic direction, client engagement, and project acquisition.

What They're Looking For:

  • 8-12 years' structural engineering experience, ideally with a focus on mid-rise residential projects.
  • Exposure to government/public sector buildings (schools, community infrastructure, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical background — capable of overseeing complex structural systems and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
  • Well-connected in the Melbourne property and construction market — comfortable engaging with clients and building lasting relationships.
  • Confident leader and communicator who can contribute to both project and business development.
  • CPEng or working towards it is preferred.
