Snapshot of Your Graduate Year with our JumpStart Sensia Graduate Program

• A 2-week induction period for you to meet your new team and navigate the workplace.
• Systematically work through each clinical topic area of our JumpStart Sensia OT Graduate Program.
• Weekly 60-minute one-on-one supervision with a Senior Occupational Therapist to mentor you as you build your caseload and beyond
• Build your support network with experienced therapists from our multidisc team, who are always available to answer questions or bounce ideas off throughout the day.
• Fortnightly OT Huddle with your peers to discuss latest the Evidence-Based Practice, clinical case studies and PD.
• Build your caseload slowly as you settle into full-time work as an OT at Sensia.
• Attend monthly in-services that are mapped out on our annual PD roster, on topics relevant to your professional practice.
• Work in our fully resourced clinic 3 days a week and work out in the community (e.g. schools, day cares, client homes) the other days.
• Develop an annual individualised learning plan with your supervisor to help you to achieve your goals
• Utilise your annual Educational Expense allowance to build you clinical skills with external Professional Development that aligns with your learning plan (e.g. DIR Floortime)

About Us

Founded in 2014 as "The OT Clinic", we evolved into a multidisciplinary team of therapists that are truly passionate about helping our clients achieve their goals. In 2021, we rebranded to 'Sensia Allied Health'.

Our secure clinic is fully resourced, and includes 15 therapy rooms, a full-sized kitchen, reception area, boardroom and FREE underground staff parking. We provide onsite and offsite therapy services predominately to children with disability, helping them to achieve their goals.

Our senior therapists are highly experienced clinicians with a wealth of knowledge that they love to share.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of paediatric clients and helping them to achieve their goals.

After you have built your caseload, a typical day might look like:

1. Arrive at the clinic with your coffee purchased from the onsite café downstairs.
2. Be welcomed by friendly faces as you enter our reception area.
3. See a couple of clients in the morning, perhaps some Early Intervention clients with whom you are working on play and social skills.
4. Enjoy lunch with the whole team to allow a proper 'reset'.
5. After lunch see some school age clients and have rostered time for report writing, supervision or project work.

About You

As our newest Occupational Therapist, you will bring a passion for making a difference in the lives of your clients and their families.

You will have:

• Membership with AHPRA
• A degree in occupational Therapy (or expected to graduate at the end of 2025)
• NDIS Workers Check, National Police Check and Working with Children Check
• Your own car and current drivers licence
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with children and their parents
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• Excellent organisational & time management skills
• A passion for working with children and their families
• A desire to continually learn
