The role will predominantly involve handling public liability (personal injury) claims and we are looking for an experienced lawyer with strong expertise in this area of practice.The General Insurance team advises on and manages a diverse portfolio of claims for many Australian and international insurers and underwriters, Government departments and public sector entities and self-insured corporations. Our team routinely handles claims that are complex, technically challenging and high profile. Our team in Melbourne is part of our national General Insurance practice - a collaborative, collegiate and high performing team.About YouYou will ideally have the following skills and experience:between 5 and 8 years of post-admission experience in defendant insurance law;experience managing personal injury claims;strong technical ability and attention to detail;strong negotiation and advocacy skills; andexperience in supervising and mentoring lawyers will be highly regarded.About UsHall & Wilcox is a leading independent Australian law firm.
